Beautiful Place

As I listen to Paul Van Dyk's Beautiful Place, I realized that I am in a beautiful place. Beautiful because I am have a great and loving husband, wonderful and brilliant kids, Mareng Stewart Cookies is getting around, a lovely home, accomplished lots of personal goals, thriving business, organized support staff.

As we close 2007, I look back and see challenges and accomplishments. All with the intercession of Padre Pio we were able to weather all storms. Thank you Lord for always staying with us and taking care of us.

Our goal for 2008 is self improvement. DH and I will recommit to working out. I have to start weaning my little boy and I need to look for a school for my little sweetie for her art program.

I am a home baker and have recently opened up my kitchen to orders for my cookies and panna cotta. Our cookies are baked the same day that they are purchased providing a fresh, hand measured and gourmet product. No preservatives are used to ensure quality and home baked taste. Because our cookies are soft in texture, they are packaged in a reusable, airtight container to ensure freshness. For GIFT GIVING, we have available a RED TIN CAN that will easily fit 12 cookies for an additional PHP30.00. Other available option is a "Paul Smith" like tray for an additional PHP40.00. Honey Bee's Birthday and Albay's Birthday

It was Honey Bee's birthday a forthnight ago. I made her a special cake with pink swirls and blue flowers. I remember when my sister and I had loads of fun with our cousins. Our kids are just like siblings. Just the way we want them to be.

I made cupcakes for Albay too but wasn't able to take pictures. I used two icings on this one. Chocolate buttercream frosting which I haven't done in ages and my new favorite, Italian Meringue.

Meeting Mr. Jollibee

DH and I met Mr. Jollibee at an awards night recently. I couldn't contain myself that I had to confess that I was meeting our Idol. Here goes my conversation:

Me: Sir, idol na idol po namin kayo.

Mr. Jollibee : Ay okay.

Me: Puede ba ho magpapicture. Ito po ang asawa ko.

Mr. J: Sure.

Me: Kami po ang may-ari ng G.

Mr. J: Ay maganda yan negosyo.

Picture, picture...

Is this the little girl...

DH and I were stunned and awed at the sight of our little angel walking down the aisle. Aside from the blushing bride, the little girl stole the show. As she walked down the aisle, light bulbs flashed and a loud Ahhhhhh could be heard.
She enjoyed the experience so much that she was used the dress the whole day the day after.

Happy Birthday Honey

We just finished our Bratz Genie Magic Party and we had so much fun. I hired one of those bouncing inflatables from Jellie Bellies. This was a hit with the kids and the adults. I myself jumped on the inflatable with Ines. In line with the theme Arabian Nights because this was a Bratz Genie Magic Party, I served Shawarma. All the adults and some kids loved it. And it was so affordable, almost half the price if you get from any party planner. This is the same Shawarma stand in Ortigas Home Depot. I also served Soft Serve Ice Cream from Mhel. I got this supplier from an ad posted on Streettalk. We did our own cheese french fries. For extra crispy fries, these were fried twice. We also serve our own spaghetti bolognese and carbonara. I love the Bratz cake I made for her. It was a 4 layer chocolate cake that I make all the time. Nice and moist and not so sweet. I used her doll and propped it on her cake. Also made cupcakes and was able to source out stickers at Divisoria Mall with the Bratz Genie Magic Theme for the toppers.I used the same stickers for the balloons and planted them in the entrance of our house using ... pvc pipes to hold them up. Also last minute we got pink tool and used it to decorate the cake table and buffet table. This last minute addition was the idea of Mr. T our cousin. The placed look so dressed up. Thanks Mr. T.
